On The Farm

Meander through the orchards and rainforest nature walks on Castle Rock Farm picking your own fresh breakfast fruit along the way. (varies with the seasons). Hike up to Castle Rock where the views and the photo opportunities are endless. Spend a lazy afternoon birdwatching. Finish your day with a get together round the campfire.

In Byfield

There are endless opportunities to explore the diversity of the surrounding region. And its all within an hour’s drive. In addition to the natural attractions that make Byfield a must see, Byfield Village hosts a quaint General Store when you can get a delicious lunch and a cold beer, the historic Raspberry Creek Homestead, the world famous Nob Creek Pottery and a local Tea Tree plantation.

Canoe the mysteriously dark waters of Waterpark Creek or take a dip in the crystal clear waters of Upper Stoney Creek.

For the more adventurous, a 4wd day trip to Five Rocks is a must. Getting there is not for the faint hearted, but the surf’s great and you may be lucky enough to have the whole beach to yourself.

Your Byfield break won’t be complete without a night out for dinner at Fern’s Hideaway and a sing a long with Marto.

On the Water

Book the Cat to Great Keppel Island – indisputably one of the best island beaches you will ever visit – for a few hours or try your hand at  fishing and crabbing in Corio Bay.
