A 115 acre property set in the scenic beauty of the rugged Byfield mountains, Castle Rock farm borders the Byfield National Park – home to the famous Byfield fern, crystal clear streams and nature walking trails. Only 45 minutes drive to the gorgeous remote Five Rocks township which is the gateway to one of Australia’s most isolated and secluded beaches, where pure freshwater streams flow direct to the beach and the surfing is great.
Castle Rock farm has a rich history and was originally built by a Norwegian couple who sailed, along with all their possessions, from Norway and made Byfield their home. She was a keen potter, you can still see some of their original possessions decorating the house and much of the pottery was made on-site, the kiln is still here and has been converted into a wood fired oven.
Now owned by John and Helen Auriac, a well known and highly regarded couple, who have been have been living and operating businesses on the Capricorn Coast for the past 30 years whilst raising their family. They have plans to turn the place into a luxurious retreat. The rustic artist’s studio is currently being renovated for weddings, small seminars and conferences. Plans are underway for the addition of several secluded Eco cabins nestled amongst the rainforest.
The pretty coastal town of Yeppoon is only 30 minutes away. From here there is easy access to the Capricorn beaches and the Keppel Island Group.
